Business Challenge​

Our client, a leading bank in southeast Europe, relied on an Enterprise Data Warehouse system that reached limits in terms of volume and faced repeated problems with frequently changing payment data formats. The payment analysis project had two principal objectives – to establish a big data architecture and to provide business users with full insight into payment processing data.

Our Approach​

Cloudera Enterprise suite was selected as a Hadoop distribution. Airflow, a workflow management tool, was used for batch processing and as an ETL backbone. We enabled the advanced analytics department to access the data in a big data sandbox.
The first phase of the payment analytics solution was implemented on a big data cluster. The platform was fully integrated into existing IT systems and processes.
