One of Europe’s fastest-growing data companies enters the next phase of growth with expansion to Sweden

Syntio, one of the fastest-growing data companies in Europe, is expanding its physical footprint in the Nordics by opening an office in Gothenburg, followed by Stockholm later this year.

Having recently been recognized for the 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe by Financial Times is a testament to Syntio’s commitment to being a trusted no-nonsense partner for our clients by solving their most pressing data needs – besides setting new benchmarks for excellence in the field of data engineering.

Syntio has already helped some of Sweden’s most ambitious growth companies and iconic household name brands such as IKEA, Volvo and H&M to launch new data products and platforms, make better data-driven decisions and utilize data for AI/ML purposes.

This has been done with a strong focus on business value coupled with best-of-breed data engineering talent. “As a data engineering partner, Syntio has always placed an emphasis on cutting through the hype and building things that actually work and deliver real business value”, says Pelle Sommansson, Chief Growth Officer at Zero North and former Chief Data & Analytics Officer at IKEA, adding “I’m excited to see them opening up an office in Sweden finally”. Having worked with global industry leaders such as BCG in the region further exemplifies Syntio’s commitment to engineering excellence coupled with a business-oriented operating model.

As part of this commitment, Syntio is excited to appoint Fredrik Blom as Managing Director of Sweden.

Fredrik has a background from e.g. Volvo as Head of Data Integrations and from IKEA as Engineering Manager. Fredrik brings a wealth of operational experience in data transformation and building robust & scalable data platforms to Syntio’s clients in Sweden. “Syntio has a strong track record of consistently prioritizing innovative solutions that yield tangible business benefits, putting focus on data solutions from infrastructure to integrations” says Fredrik, continuing “Having worked with Syntio on the client side, I’m extremely excited to join the team and expand our operations in Scandinavia through our best-of-breed data transformation capabilities and data engineering talent.”

Founded in 2017, Syntio now brings a full breadth of data capabilities to the Swedish market, from data strategy to architecting and implementing modern data platforms that can among others be used for AI/ML purposes – with a team of +100 data professionals and engineers.

Davorin Cetto, CEO of Syntio, comments “With our physical expansion to Sweden, we will now together create more opportunities for our people and clients – leveraging our data capabilities and academy training model as we embark on the next critical phase of the data and AI journey.”

Through the explosive popularity of Generative AI and LLMs, it’s clear that the next technology revolution is here – but data readiness is still the top challenge for companies as they move forward with AI adoption. For companies to embrace the opportunity of AI, they need strong data foundations in the cloud across their business.

Syntio works with clients of all sizes – from scaleups to mid-market companies and large enterprises – supporting them in delivering tangible business value and increasing their competitiveness through data and AI.
